Common questions

Is this a Clay alternative?

No, and it is not trying to be. Clay resells licensed person-data as credits; that is their moat and we deliberately do not compete there. This vertical is the substrate around the person record — keyless company truth from registries and regulators, hiring and funding and government-contract signals, and the CRM tools to act on them — behind one connection. Contact-enrichment vendors are available bring-your-own-key, so you pay the vendor directly rather than a credit markup.

What can I do without paying for any data vendor?

Most of the company-truth and signal layer is keyless: GLEIF legal-entity records, OpenCorporates, Companies House and other national registries, SEC filings and XBRL financials, Form D funding events, H-1B filings, job postings, GitHub activity, trademarks, patents, federal contract awards, Form 5500 benefit filings and domain or DNS footprint. Contact enrichment and a few premium signals need your own vendor key.

Does it write back to my CRM?

Yes, with your own credentials. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Zoho and ActiveCampaign are in the bundle alongside Mailchimp, Klaviyo, SendGrid and Gong, so an agent can research a company and update the record in the same session without a second connection.

Why one connection instead of wiring up each source?

Because a GTM agent that needs registry data, hiring signals, filings and a CRM write normally means four or five separate integrations, each with its own auth and its own schema. This is one URL and one key spanning all of them, and the tool descriptions are written for a model to select from rather than for a human to read.
