Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using pipeworx.io and the Pipeworx API gateway ("Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Pipeworx is an MCP gateway that connects AI agents to live data from public APIs and authorized third-party services. We provide API access, OAuth credential management, and tool execution on your behalf.

3. Accounts

You may create an account via GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys. You must not share your API keys with unauthorized parties.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse the Service in a way that degrades performance for others
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited communications

5. Export Controls and Sanctions

You may not access or use the Service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions or embargoes (currently including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk (DNR), and Luhansk (LNR) regions), or if you are an individual or entity on the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list or any other applicable restricted-party list. You represent that you are not so located or listed, and you agree not to use the Service in violation of any applicable export-control or sanctions laws. We may block or terminate access to comply with these laws.

6. Third-Party Services

When you connect third-party services (e.g., Google, Salesforce, Slack), you authorize Pipeworx to access those services on your behalf using OAuth tokens. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any connected third-party service. We store OAuth tokens encrypted at rest and delete them immediately when you disconnect a service.

Licence-restricted sources. Some data we relay reaches you under a licence the publisher grants us, and those terms pass through to you. Where a source is licensed on those terms — currently FINRA equity and fixed-income data, delivered through the finra tools — you agree that: the publisher named in the response's attribution field is the owner and source of that data and of anything you derive from it, and you will identify them as such; your use is limited to non-commercial personal or professional use; and you will not redistribute that data to any third party. We charge nothing for data under these terms (see section 7). If you cannot accept these conditions, do not call the tools that carry them — every response states the licence in its attribution field and its price as zero in _meta.cost, before and after the call.

7. Credits and Billing

Usage beyond the free daily allowance is paid for in credits. Credits are the single billing unit for the Service, are purchased in advance, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. An unused balance remains available for future usage.

Credits are consumed in three ways, each described in full on our pricing page:

  • Requests — priced by your calendar-month volume in marginal brackets, so crossing a threshold applies the new rate only to usage above it.
  • Answers — routed, synthesized responses settle at the measured inference cost for your specific request plus one request for the underlying tool call, rather than at a fixed price.
  • Metered sources — a limited number of packs front third-party providers that charge per unit; these settle at that provider's unit cost plus a margin, subject to a minimum per call. Where you supply your own credentials for such a provider, we add no margin.
  • Zero-rated sources — some publishers licence their data to us on condition that we charge no fee for it. Those tools cost zero credits on every plan, and calling one does not count toward the volume that prices your other requests. They are marked zero_rated in _meta.cost on every response and in the cost disclosure returned by tool discovery, so you can confirm it before and after the call.

Every charge is itemized in the credit ledger on your account page. Each account is subject to a daily spend ceiling. Automatic balance top-up is available and applies only if you enable it. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Billing is processed by Stripe.

8. API Usage

Free-tier accounts are subject to daily rate limits. Paid accounts have higher or unlimited limits as described on our pricing page. We may throttle or suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data. We do not log the content of your API requests or responses.

10. Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or errors in third-party API responses.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mojibake Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your API keys are invalidated and your OAuth connections are deleted.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
