Deals a named layout from the Pipeworx original tarot deck (Rider–Waite–Smith tradition): three_card, situation_obstacle_advice, celtic_cross, horseshoe, yes_no, or a custom set of positions. Each position gets its own card, orientation, and traditional meaning for that orientation. question is echoed back verbatim — this tool never interprets it.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
spread | string | yes | Which named layout to deal. |
positions | array | no | Required when spread is “custom”: the ordered list of position labels (max 20). |
items | string | no | |
question | string | no | The question this spread is being read for. Echoed back verbatim, never interpreted. |
reversals | boolean | no | Allow reversed orientation per card (50% chance). Default true. |
seed | string | no | Reproduce a previous spread by passing back the seed it returned. Omit for fresh randomness. |
session_id | string | no | Deal from an open tarot_shuffle session instead of a fresh deal (hosted only; never repeats a card within the session). |
