Census smoking status (regular / ex / never) by NZ regional council and census year.

Tool description as the model sees it

Cigarette smoking status by New Zealand regional council from the Census (people aged 15+): counts and percentages of regular smokers, ex-smokers and people who never smoked regularly, per region and census year (2023, 2018, 2013, 2006). Answers “smoking prevalence by region”, “ex-smoker share by regional council, 2018 vs 2023”. Percentages are of people whose smoking status was stated. Source: Stats NZ, Census of Population and Dwellings (smoking behaviour tables). This is census self-report, not the Ministry of Health NZ Health Survey. No key needed from the caller.
