sdmx_find_dataflow
Pack: sdmx-structure · Connect: https://pipeworx.io/mcp (see Connect below for a single-pack URL)
No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/sdmx_find_dataflow for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Keyword-search a registry’s full dataflow catalogue by id or name substring. Use this to find the dataflow id to pass to sdmx_dataflow_structure when you only know a topic. Example: sdmx_find_dataflow({ registry: “bis”, query: “credit” }) or sdmx_find_dataflow({ registry: “oecd”, query: “unemployment” }). For Eurostat specifically, the eurostat pack’s own search_datasets tool searches its ~10,000-entry table of contents with richer metadata (last-update dates, time coverage) and is usually the better choice.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
registry | string | yes | Which SDMX registry to query: ${REGISTRY_IDS.join(’, ’)}. |
query | string | yes | Case-insensitive substring to match against dataflow id or name, e.g. “unemployment”, “credit”, “exchange rate”. |
agency | string | no | Restrict to one maintaining agency id instead of the registry default, e.g. “OECD.SDD.NAD”. |
limit | number | no | Max results to return (default 50, max 300). |
