No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/pbgc_plan_status for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Look up a named pension plan sponsor’s PBGC status: whether a pension plan was terminated and taken over by PBGC (“trusteed”) because it was underfunded, or is still an active plan currently paying PBGC premiums (single-employer or multiemployer). Searches both PBGC registers by sponsor name, plan name, and/or employer EIN, and returns data_as_of so the caller knows how current each match is. Answers “did United Airlines’ pension plan get taken over by PBGC”, “is Acme Corp’s pension plan still active”, “what happened to the Enron pension plan”. Example: pbgc_plan_status({ sponsor: “US Airways” }). Keyless.
