nj_statute_search
Pack: new-jersey-code · Connect: https://pipeworx.io/mcp (see Connect below for a single-pack URL)
No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/nj_statute_search for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Search the New Jersey Statutes (N.J.S.A.) BY TOPIC or keyword rather than citation — “security deposit interest”, “landlord grounds for eviction”, “possession of weapons for unlawful purposes”. Returns ranked sections with their citations (where parseable) and headings; use nj_statute_section afterward for the full text of one. Full-text search, so it answers questions no citation lookup can. Keyless.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
query | string | yes | Topic or keywords, e.g. “security deposit interest”. A few plain words works better than a long sentence — this engine ANDs every word. |
limit | number | no | Max results, default 10, max 25. |
