No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/geo_search for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Search NCBI GEO (Gene Expression Omnibus) for expression series (GSE) by keywords, optionally filtered by organism and experiment type. Returns the matching series with title, organism, sample count, platform, type and release date, plus the total hit count. Follow up with geo_series for one accession.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
query | string | yes | Free-text terms, e.g. “dyskeratosis congenita” or “telomere RNA-seq” |
organism | string | no | Scientific name, e.g. “Homo sapiens”, “Mus musculus” |
type | string | no | GEO experiment type, e.g. “Expression profiling by array”, “Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing”, “Methylation profiling by genome tiling array” |
limit | number | no | 1-50 (default 10) |
