jhtdb_point_query

No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/jhtdb_point_query for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Interpolated velocity, pressure, or velocity-gradient values at up to ${POINT_CAP} points and a single time in a Johns Hopkins Turbulence Databases (JHTDB) reference DNS/LES dataset. Values are returned in the dataset’s native simulation units (dimensionless DNS code units for the isotropic/channel/MHD datasets; physical meters/seconds for the atmospheric-boundary-layer and wind-farm LES datasets) — call jhtdb_datasets first to see a dataset’s domain and time range. Uses JHTDB’s public testing authorization token, capped well under its documented small-query allowance.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
dataset | string | no | Dataset code from jhtdb_datasets, e.g. “isotropic1024coarse”. |
field | string | no | Physical quantity to query. Default “velocity”. |
time | number | no | Simulation time at which to evaluate the field, within the dataset’s time range from jhtdb_datasets. |
points | array | no | 1 to ${POINT_CAP} points, each {x, y, z} in the dataset’s native spatial units. |
items | object | no | |
properties | number | no | |
x | number | yes | |
y | number | yes | |
z | number | yes | |
spatial_interpolation | string | no | Spatial interpolation kernel. Defaults to Lag4 for velocity/pressure, None_Fd4 (4th-order finite difference, no interpolation) for velocity_gradient. |
temporal_interpolation | string | no | Temporal interpolation. Default “None”. |
