Search Japan’s NTA corporate-number register by Japanese or romanised company name.

Tool description as the model sees it

Search Japan’s National Tax Agency corporate-number register by name — Japanese (kanji/katakana, substring match) or the official English name/katakana reading NTA holds for some entities. Optionally filter by prefecture (Japanese name, English name, or 2-digit code). Returns each match’s corporate number, name, kind and address so you can pick the right one, then call jp_corporate_number for full detail. Covers 5.8M registered entities: companies, government bodies, NPOs, foundations.

Parameters

Name	Type	Required	Description
`name`	string	yes	Company/organization name or part of it, in Japanese or (when NTA published one) English — e.g. “トヨタ”, “Toyota”, “株式会社”.
`prefecture`	string	no	Optional prefecture filter: Japanese name (“北海道”), English name (“Hokkaido”), or 2-digit code (“01”).
`limit`	number	no	Maximum results (1-50, default 10).
