isrctn_search
Pack: isrctn · Connect: https://pipeworx.io/mcp (see Connect below for a single-pack URL)
No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/isrctn_search for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Search the ISRCTN registry (isrctn.com) — the UK-based international clinical trial registry — by free text and/or by condition/intervention. Use for “studies on status filters on a DERIVED recruitment status (ISRCTN’s feed carries no status field) computed from each trial’s recruitment dates — see status_basis on every returned trial.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
query | string | no | Free-text search terms (title, summary, eligibility criteria, etc.) — e.g. “psilocybin” or “psilocybin depression” (multiple words are ANDed, not ORed). Optional if condition and/or intervention are given. |
condition | string | no | Filter to trials whose registered CONDITION field matches this phrase (e.g. “stroke”, “treatment-resistant depression”). |
intervention | string | no | Filter to trials whose registered INTERVENTION field matches this phrase (e.g. “psilocybin”, “COMP360”). |
status | string | no | Filter on the DERIVED recruitment status (case-insensitive substring match) — e.g. “recruiting”, “completed”, “not yet recruiting”. Applied client-side over the fetched batch (see status_filter_scanned in the response), since ISRCTN’s feed has no status field to filter on server-side. |
limit | number | no | Max trials to return (1-${MAX_LIMIT}, default ${DEFAULT_LIMIT}). |
