get_historical_opportunity

Pack: grants-gov · Connect: https://pipeworx.io/mcp (see Connect below for a single-pack URL)

No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/get_historical_opportunity for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.

Fetch one Grants.gov opportunity by its numeric opportunity ID, in ANY status (open, closed, archived, or forecasted) — unlike get_opportunity, which calls the live API and only reliably resolves currently-open opportunities. Returns the full record plus a computed status (derived from close/archive dates against today, the same vocabulary search_historical_opportunities uses) and data_as_of.

Parameters

NameTypeRequiredDescription
opportunity_idnumberyesNumeric opportunity ID (returned by search_historical_opportunities or search_opportunities as “id”).
