dc_search
Pack: dc-code · Connect: https://pipeworx.io/mcp (see Connect below for a single-pack URL)
No MCP client? Call it directly: GET https://gateway.pipeworx.io/v1/tools/dc_search for the schema, then POST the same URL with its arguments for the data.
Search the District of Columbia Code by TOPIC/keyword, and/or browse one TITLE’s chapters and sections. Pass “query” to search official section headings (catchlines) — e.g. “landlord eviction notice”, “concealed carry permit”, “homicide” — across all 51+ titles or, with “title” also set, within just that title. Pass “title” alone (no query) to list every section under that D.C. Code title, acting as a chapter-list/browse tool. Matches official headings only (DC Council does not publish a full-text search over statutory body text). Call dc_statute with a result’s citation for the full text. Keyless.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
query | string | no | Topic or keywords to match against official section headings, e.g. “eviction notice”. |
title | string | no | A D.C. Code title number to filter to, or to list on its own (chapter-list mode), e.g. “22” or “27A”. |
limit | number | no | Max results. Default 10 (search) or 100 (title listing); max 50 (search) or 500 (title listing). |
