Retrieve the charges register for a UK company by company_number (from search_companies) OR company NAME — secured lending (mortgages, debentures, fixed/floating charges) registered against the company, the UK analogue of a US UCC lien filing. Returns each charge’s charge_number, classification/description, status (outstanding | satisfied | part-satisfied | fully-satisfied), created_on/delivered_on/satisfied_on dates, particulars (fixed/floating/negative-pledge flags and amount secured where stated), and persons_entitled (the lender(s) secured by the charge). A company with no secured lending on file returns zero charges, which reads differently from a company_number that does not exist — this call disambiguates between the two the same way get_filings does. Counts (total/outstanding/satisfied/part-satisfied) are returned ahead of the charge list.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
company_number | string | yes | UK company number (e.g. “07098618”) OR the company NAME (e.g. “Ocado Group”) — a name is resolved here automatically and the match is echoed back as resolved_from_name. Pass whichever you have; do not guess a number from memory, since a plausible wrong one returns a clean empty result that reads as “no charges” for a company that may not exist. |
items_per_page | number | no | 1-100 (default 25) |
start_index | number | no | Pagination offset (default 0) |
